Beach Babies!

The first weekend of June the Walterbach family spent at the beach! We took a direct flight on Allegiant Air from Des Moines to St. Petersburg, Florida. Nathan did great on his very first flight.
He was a little squirmy at times, but over all did fantastic. The ride home... not so great. He was tired like the rest of us and ready to get back home.

Nathan and my best friend's 10 month old Jackson met for the very first time in Florida. You can see below their first moments were very exciting! It's one of the best things ever that Jodi and I ended up having baby's at basically the same time and our little guys will get to hang out with each other. We've decided we're going to make it a tradition to vacation together every other year. We're already mapping out our next adventure for 2011.


The boys loved the sand, but we're not fans of the ocean. The waves were a bit too much for them.


In the photo below, the hotel behind Nate is the hotel we stay at. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite with full kitchen and living area. I also discovered Nate's love of the pool while in vacation. Our hotel had a great adult and kiddie pool. Nate had a blast floating around in his infant float. I've decided we will be making many trips to the city pool here at home. I love having a reason (ie. Nathan) for going to the pool now!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Jodi and Jackson. I think they both look great! Jodi's husband, Jason, was not with us on vacation. He is in the National Guard serving in Afghanistan right now. He's always in our prayers.
