October Weather Nationwide

You've seen mention in numerous entries regarding the horrible October weather in Iowa. Turns out, Iowa wasn't the only place with a lousy month of October.

The National Climate Data Center has released statistics on the month of October for the country as a whole. October ranked as the 3rd coldest October in history. The average temperature of 50.8 degrees was 4 degrees cooler than the average October nationwide temp.

And get this - October was THE WETTEST October EVER for our country. The average precip for the country was double the norm. 4.14" compared to 2.11".
