Labor Day Weekend!

It was an exciting Labor Day weekend for the Walterbachs. Not only did I have to work both days, but we had plans every afternoon.

The big event... football! College football is on, so of course we pulled out the flag!


Surprisingly, I have come across and met quite a few Georgia fans here in Iowa. It's always fun to meet them and share our Bulldawg pride :)

Anyways, on Saturday we watching the Iowa-UNI game which was exciting... at the end! And then we watched Georgia get clobbered by the Oklahoma State Cowboys. That was sad.

On Sunday, we decided spur of the moment to go to Big Creek State Park to rent bikes and go for a ride. What a great idea! Big Creek State Park is a wonderful park with all kinds of rentals (from boats to bikes), a number of paved bike trails, a huge playground, and a beautiful lake.



We had such a wonderful day. Nate really enjoyed riding in the trailer. He had a big smile on his face the whole time.
